Unissey, Europe’s leading provider of facial biometric identity verification, proudly announces the achievement of High-Level IAD (Injection Attack Detection) compliance certification under the CEN/TS 18099 standard. The certification was issued by Cabinet Louis Reynaud – CLR Cert™ and assessed by CLR Labs™, recognizing Unissey’s excellence in detecting and preventing video injection attacks.
Already certified at the Substantial Level for both presentation attack detection (PAD) and injection attack detection (IAD), Unissey once again demonstrates its ability to meet the most demanding security requirements. With this new High-Level CEN/TS 18099 certification, Unissey becomes the first web-based liveness detection solution in the world to reach such a high assurance level, setting a new benchmark for the industry.
This recognition confirms Unissey’s unique ability to protect against the most sophisticated forms of digital identity fraud. Achieved specifically on web environments, this certification ensures unmatched protection across all devices, browsers, and operating systems, enabling organizations to secure every remote identity verification journey with consistent and universal reliability.
This latest milestone positions Unissey as the first solution to help Qualified Trust Service Providers (QTSPs) prepare for the eIDAS 2.0 implementation acts, which will require High-Level certification for both PAD and IAD under the ETSI 119 461 technical standard by 2027.
By achieving this certification ahead of regulation, Unissey reaffirms its role as an industry pioneer, guiding clients and partners toward full compliance with the most stringent European security standards — while strengthening the global fight against identity fraud.
« Achieving High-Level certification under CEN/TS 18099 is more than a milestone — it’s proof of the robustness and technological leadership of our liveness detection solutions. Our goal remains clear: to deliver the highest levels of trust and security to our clients while anticipating the world’s most advanced regulatory requirements.»
Yassine Mountacif, Founder & CEO, Unissey
With this achievement, Unissey cements its position as a trailblazer in biometric security and a trusted ally for organizations looking to protect their digital identity verification workflows from today’s — and tomorrow’s — most sophisticated fraud threats.
