Unissey, Europe’s leading provider of remote identity verification through facial biometrics, has reached a major milestone in its mission to deliver best-in-class security and innovation by announcing the achievement of substantial-level compliance certification for biometric injection attack detection (IAD), issued by Cabinet Louis Reynaud - CLR Labs.

A Resilient Solution Against the Rising Threat of Deepfakes and Injection Attacks

Building on its existing substantial-level certification for presentation attack detection (PAD) and basic-level certification for injection attack detection, Unissey once again demonstrates its cutting-edge technology by now achieving substantial-level certification for injection attack detection.

This certification, covering all web applications, positions Unissey as a key market player capable of delivering high levels of trust in remote identity verification, regardless of the browser used.

Paving the Way for eIDAS 2.0 Compliance with High-Level CEN 18099 Certification

This new milestone reflects Unissey’s commitment to technological excellence and its proactive approach to anticipating market demands for security and compliance. It underscores the company’s ongoing dedication to providing innovative, robust solutions that meet the highest standards.

This forward-looking strategy aims to support clients and partners in aligning with the upcoming eIDAS 2.0 regulation, which will notably rely on the technical specifications of ETSI 119 461. Currently under review through the European Commission’s implementing acts, this standard will require Qualified Trust Service Providers (QTSPs) from 2026 onwards to demonstrate high-level certification for both presentation attack detection (PAD) and injection attack detection (IAD) to obtain QTSP status.

« This substantial-level certification for injection attack detection is a key milestone on our path to high-level certification in 2026. It underscores the strength of our liveness detection technology and our determination to deliver the highest levels of security and trust to our clients. We’re committed to staying ahead of emerging threats and evolving regulatory requirements.»
Yassine Mountacif, Founder & CEO, Unissey

With this latest certification, Unissey further cements its role as a pioneer in fraud prevention and a trusted partner in helping organizations navigate the future of digital identity verification.
